Presentations.AI has widened its pitch from generating slides from a prompt to starting from the document you already have. The announcement, published October 31, 2026 on GlobeNewswire, adds conversion for Google Docs, Word documents, PDFs, plain text, Notion pages, spreadsheets and websites into branded, editable presentations — alongside a free Chrome extension that turns the webpage being read into an AI-generated slide deck in one click.

The company, headquartered in Singapore and backed by Accel and Together Fund, says it is used by more than 12 million users worldwide. Its argument is that the content for most business presentations already exists somewhere else — in a proposal, a report, a roadmap or a webpage — and that an AI presentation maker should start from that source rather than from a blank prompt.

Start from the document, not a blank prompt#

For Google Docs, a user pastes a document link or connects a Google Drive account. Presentations.AI reads the headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images, identifies the document’s structure and proposes a slide outline that mirrors it: long sections are divided across slides, shorter sections are combined, and tables and quantitative information become charts and tables. Users review the outline, adjust the structure and generate the deck, then refine individual slides and export to PowerPoint or Google Slides.

The same approach covers plain text, notes, meeting transcripts, memos and structured outlines, where the platform says it develops a presentation narrative rather than placing the source text onto slides. Word documents and PDFs are uploaded and organised into slides the same way, and spreadsheet-based generation covers Excel files and other structured business information. The capability is also available through a ChatGPT integration, so content developed in a ChatGPT conversation can move directly into a presentation workflow.

The Chrome extension: one click from webpage to deck#

The free Chrome extension, available through the Chrome Web Store, adds a presentation-generation action to the browser toolbar. On any article, report, product page or other website, one click captures the page content, builds the outline and returns a finished, branded deck. The company pitches it for market research, competitive intelligence, product marketing, sales enablement and business analysis — a product manager turning an online competitive analysis into a presentation, or a sales professional building a prospect briefing from a company website.

The extension is free to install, but presentation generation is subject to the account’s credit allowance. That distinction matters: the one-click workflow is not unlimited free generation, it is a faster front door to the same credit-metered service.

Branding, refresh and the credit meter#

Every generated deck carries the company’s Brand Sync, which identifies branding from a website URL — logo, colours and fonts — and applies it across the slides without manual theme configuration. Brand Sync is available on all paid plans. Output is native editable PowerPoint, Google Slides, PDF, PNG, JPEG, HTML and JSON; the PowerPoint export preserves editable text, shapes and supported charts and layouts.

Integrations span Notion, Slack, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Tableau and Mixpanel. The patented Presentation Refresh capability lets teams set up a recurring deck, identify the content that needs updating and regenerate it daily, weekly, monthly, on demand or on qualifying triggers, preserving the structure and branding.

Generation consumes 10 credits per slide, and Presentation Refresh consumes 10 credits per slide on each refresh, including slides whose content remains unchanged. The free Starter plan includes 100 credits. Pro is $240 a year with 5,000 annual credits, equivalent to $20 a month; Gold is $1,200 a year with 50,000 annual credits, equivalent to $100 a month; and the Team plan is $720 a year with unlimited seats and 30,000 shared annual credits. All plans are billed annually and subscription pricing varies by country. A REST API with OAuth 2.0 authentication, role-based access control, audit logs and webhook triggers is also available for developers building presentation generation into other applications, and white-label output is available at the Growth tier and above.

What to watch#

The claim to test is the outline. Converting a document into slides is easy to demo and hard to trust: headings that misread the argument, tables flattened into the wrong chart, and figures carried over without their caveats all survive into a polished-looking deck. The review step — checking the proposed outline before generating — is where that risk is caught, and it is the step a one-click workflow most tempts users to skip.

The credit meter is the other check. At 10 credits per slide, a 50-slide deck costs 500 credits, and a refreshed recurring deck re-charges for every slide each time, changed or not. For teams refreshing quarterly reviews or pipeline decks on a schedule, that recurring cost, not the headline generation speed, is the number to budget against. The company says it does not use customer content to train its models and is GDPR compliant; the conversion features and the Chrome extension are available today.

Google Docs, Word documents, PDFs, plain text, Notion pages, spreadsheets and websites. It reads the source, proposes a slide outline from its structure, and returns a branded, editable deck that can be exported to PowerPoint or Google Slides.

How large are the decks, how fast are they, and what do they cost?

Presentations of 10 to 50 slides generate in under one minute, depending on the source material and generation requirements, according to the company. Generation consumes 10 credits per slide, and Presentation Refresh consumes 10 credits per slide on each refresh, including slides whose content remains unchanged.

Is the Chrome extension free?

The Chrome extension is free to install through the Chrome Web Store, and one click captures the webpage being read and returns a finished, branded deck. Presentation generation itself is subject to the account’s credit allowance.
