Beyond Now launches an agentic revenue platform for telecoms: native agents that package, sell and bill AI by token and outcome
Beyond Now launched its Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform on October 7, betting that telecoms' AI problem is commercial, not technical: carriers have captured just 2% of AI revenue so far, CEO Angus Ward says, and the missing piece is a revenue stack built for an economy where agents — not humans — do the buying.
Beyond Now launched its Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform on October 7: a billing-and-commerce stack with agentic AI baked in, aimed at helping communications service providers (CSPs) and technology providers create, sell and monetize their own, partner and AI-powered services — from sovereign AI and GPU-as-a-service to AI applications, services and agents.
The pitch starts with a sting. "AI is creating enormous growth opportunities, yet CSPs have so far captured just 2% of AI revenue," CEO Angus Ward said in the announcement. "What's holding them back isn't a lack of opportunity, it's the lack of a commercial platform to execute on it." The implication: the industry has poured its energy into building agent environments and orchestration models, while nobody rebuilt the revenue machinery underneath.
A revenue stack where agents do the buying
The platform connects capabilities usually fragmented across siloed IT and BSS environments into one commercial foundation: headless architecture, a shared catalog, a single data model and centralized commercial rules spanning customers, products, partners, pricing, orders and services. The idea is that people, systems and AI agents all act on the same context, so customer intent turns into a personalized proposition that can be quoted, ordered, fulfilled and settled — "increasingly agent-to-agent."
It is composable, modular, multi-tenant and event-driven, with open APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, so organizations can deploy it alongside existing BSS rather than ripping out core systems. Beyond Now frames that as the low-risk path to agentic transformation — adoption without "wholesale replacement of core IT and BSS systems."
Three plays: maximize, multiply, accelerate
Beyond Now structures the platform around three growth priorities:
- Maximize revenue — connect discovery, selling, fulfillment and monetization, with pricing ranging from dynamic bundling and subscriptions to usage, AI consumption, tokens and outcomes.
- Multiply ecosystems — combine first-party assets, partner capabilities and AI services into multi-party propositions; co-create and co-sell with partners; orchestrate orders, fulfillment, monetization and settlement across B2B2X models.
- Accelerate with agentic AI — role-based agents native to the platform working across the revenue lifecycle alongside people and systems, with the option to build or bring your own agents and models.
The token-and-outcome billing detail matters most. As AI consumption shifts from subscriptions toward usage, tokens and outcomes, carriers need metering and settlement built for that granularity. Beyond Now's wager is that the billing stack — not the agent framework — is where that standard gets set.
The context: who is buying the billing stack
Beyond Now counts AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, NTT, Verizon, e& and BT among its customers, with strategic alliances including AWS, Google, Microsoft, Accenture and HCLTech. The platform supports B2C, B2B and B2B2X business models; more detail is at beyondnow.com/platform.
If the agent-to-agent economy really does need a commercial layer, the winner may not be the company with the best agent framework — it may be the one that figured out how agents pay each other. Beyond Now is now officially in that fight.
