Paris has a new $2.3B AI company. Pigment, the AI business planning and performance management platform, announced on October 21, 2026 that it raised a $250 million Series E at a $2.3 billion valuation, led by the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT. The pitch this time is not another dashboard: it is autonomous planning — AI agents running enterprise planning workflows end to end, turning decisions into action.
The round drew a heavyweight syndicate. Alongside the EQT-managed fund, WIL (World Innovation Lab) and existing investors Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP and Meritech participated, with a planned investment from NVIDIA also disclosed. Co-founders Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli said enterprise planning will change more in the next few years than it has in the last thirty, and that the world’s most advanced AI companies now run their planning on Pigment.
The Graphite engine
Pigment says the new capital centers on Graphite, its proprietary, patent-pending compute engine, and the AI agents that run on it. According to the company, Graphite already lets thousands of AI agents and people work simultaneously on a single governed model, scaling to hundreds of billions of data points with results it describes as deterministic and fully traceable.

The raise follows a year of agent-focused product launches. In March, Pigment introduced intent modeling via a patent-pending Modeler Agent that turns natural-language descriptions of an outcome into governed, production-ready planning models, plus an upgraded conversational Analyst Agent and configurable Custom Agents. In September it added Frames, a generative UI that turns plain-language descriptions into custom planning interfaces, and Agent Connectors that pull real-time context from tools like Notion, Google Drive and Slack while respecting existing permissions. Frames opened in beta to all customers on September 28, 2026.
Why the momentum claim has teeth
Pigment says it surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue earlier in 2026, doubling year-over-year for another year. Adoption of its AI is accelerating: the company reports that 85% of new metrics in Pigment are now created by an agent, not a human analyst.
The customer list does the convincing. Danone, DirecTV, Siemens, Snowflake, ServiceNow and Unilever are named as enterprise users, while Anthropic, ElevenLabs and Uber — companies dense with their own AI engineers — use Pigment instead of building internal tools. L’Oréal is replacing its salary planning tool for more than 95,000 employees globally with Pigment.

Europe’s scaleup bet
The choice of lead investor is a story in itself. The Scaleup Europe Fund is a new initiative created under the EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy to close Europe’s scaleup funding gap; EQT was selected as the fund’s preferred investment adviser and fund manager on May 18, 2026, and the fund has a €5 billion target size, backing Series B-and-later technology companies across the EU.
In the announcement, EQT managing director Shannee Braun said Crespo and Niccoli “have built a global category leader from Paris, and that is exactly the kind of company the Scaleup Europe Fund was created to back.” The round follows Pigment’s $145 million Series D, announced April 4, 2024 and led by ICONIQ Growth.
Pigment’s plan from here is to keep advancing Graphite for larger, more complex workloads and extend its agents beyond building models and analyzing data — into running planning itself. Whether agents can be trusted with the last mile of enterprise decisions is the open question, but $250 million says the bet is worth making. More on the raise at Unite.AI.
