OLX's agentic AI goes live for sellers and buyers: Agentic Selling on Otodom, DealFinder on WhatsApp
OLX Group unveiled Agentic Selling and DealFinder on October 28, 2026, pairing an AI selling assistant live for a fifth of private sellers on its Polish property platform Otodom with a WhatsApp buying assistant — and publishing survey data that shows users want AI help, but not the final say.
- Who: OLX Group, the Prosus-owned classifieds business, with nearly 60 million daily listings across 11 brands in seven markets.
- What: Two new AI tools — Agentic Selling for sellers and DealFinder, a buyer-side assistant on WhatsApp.
- When: Announced October 28, 2026, after both tools were presented at CLAIM Online 2026 on October 27.
- Agentic Selling: Live for 20% of private sellers on Otodom in Poland, guiding sellers from valuation to posting.
- DealFinder: Scaled after a beta in Portugal with 2,000 users; it accepts text, image or voice searches and hit an 18% conversion rate to contact in beta.
- Scale: OLX now runs 86 live machine-learning use cases, 28 live generative-AI use cases and 14 agentic solutions across 16 marketplaces.
Two tools, one principle#
OLX Group announced Agentic Selling and DealFinder on October 28, 2026, in a release that frames both tools around a single idea, stated by chief data officer Andreas Merentitis: AI should handle the complexity, while people make the decisions that matter. The tools were presented a day earlier at CLAIM Online 2026, the company's future-of-marketplaces summit.
Agentic Selling is the seller-facing half. It is now live for 20% of private sellers on Otodom, OLX's property platform in Poland, and walks a seller through listing, managing and selling a property, from valuation to posting. DealFinder is the buyer-facing half: a WhatsApp assistant that finds items, sets price and item alerts, and takes searches by text, image or voice. It is being scaled after a beta test in Portugal with 2,000 users, in which OLX says it achieved an 18% conversion rate to contact.

Why trust is the pitch#
The launch arrived with two surveys, and OLX is clearly using them as the argument for how its tools are designed. Among 1,510 people aged 18 to 29 surveyed in Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Germany and France, 92–96% use AI tools in their personal lives, yet fewer than 41% feel ready for changes in the labour market. Poland was the most cautious market, with 37% of young people reporting high or very high concern about AI and automation.
The housing survey is blunter. Among 2,819 home seekers using OLX real-estate platforms in Romania, Poland and Portugal, only 5% would trust an AI valuation over a human agent's estimate, while 36% trust the realtor's estimate, and 78% want AI-altered listings disclosed. OLX says that is why Agentic Selling gives transparent, data-backed pricing guidance and listing drafts while leaving final pricing and disclosure decisions entirely in the seller's hands.
Chief executive Christian Gisy put it as a measurement problem: adoption shows who has tried AI, but not whether they trust the outcome. "People are already using AI for big decisions on our platforms, and they are right to ask whether it works for them," he said in the release.
What OLX says is already working#
OLX has been building AI into its marketplaces for more than eight years, and the release leans on live-product numbers rather than roadmaps. It now counts 86 live machine-learning use cases, 28 live generative-AI use cases and 14 agentic solutions in-market across 16 marketplaces, drawing on more than 20 years of dealer and realtor relationships and verified marketplace data that, OLX argues, generic AI models cannot access.
The company-reported results it cites: AI-generated titles and descriptions lift posting completion by 11 percentage points for sellers; AI-powered ad posting cuts time-to-post by 50% in real estate; in Motors, more than 70% of dealers accept AI-made videos of their cars; and AutoIQ, its dealer agent, is live with all dealers on its platforms in Poland and Portugal. In Jobs, its AI Interviewer runs more than 1,000 practice interviews a month, and OLX reports 88% of early users found its CV Optimiser useful and 90% said they love the AI Interviewer.

What to watch#
The honest caveat is scope. Agentic Selling is live for a fifth of private sellers on one platform in one country, and DealFinder's headline conversion figure comes from a 2,000-user beta, not a full rollout. The survey samples are platform users and, for the real-estate survey, explicitly not representative of all home seekers. And the trust pitch cuts both ways: if sellers keep the final call, OLX's AI has to earn its keep on speed and accuracy alone, without ever overruling the person it serves.
Still, the launch is a useful marker for where agentic AI is actually landing first: not in a flashy demo, but inside the unglamorous work of listing a flat and finding a deal — measured, OLX insists, by whether people trust the outcome.
